Remember, it's not always WWE who pull the plug on upcoming talent. like with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles' tryout matches since they've both refused contracts in favour of TNA or ROH's lighter schedule and different style, Daniels could have easily been the same.
But yet the Smackdown ratings went up and he had an entertaining run (he DANCED for gods sake) If an idea doesn't seem dumb at first; it's a bad idea. EDIT: It's also worth noting Daniels hadn't got his distinct "look" about him at the time of this match, Cornette was calling him the fallen angel but he really didn't look like anything of the sort in favour of a more generic wrestler look, and everybody knows you need more than good wrestling skills to be a part of the WWE. |

Christopher Daniels wasn't a jobber because he also had matches for the WWF Light Heavyweight championship. And about AJ Styles he was a jobber first in WCW and then in WWF. |
