Alright, so here's some answers to common questions. There's some more technical/zetaboard-specific answers in the FAQ up by the "calendar" link. How do I make a new topic? Click the "New Topic" button here: ![]() (Your theme might look slightly different, but the button should be in the same place.) Can I play as someone not canonically in the SaM universe? Not in the Main Story board. In the AU/AT boards you have free reign as far as characters go, but the Main Story is supposed to be at least somewhat canon-compliant. What is the Main Story board? The Main Story board is for role play with characters you've already claimed. It's meant for role play that's mainly canon-compliant, in that the characters all act like themselves and there's only one of them running around at any given time. This isn't the place for crack!RPs. The reason the Main Story has a separate board is so there's plot and interaction that can all make some kind of sense. Essentially, it's our own SaM 'verse. What about AUs/ATs? What does that mean? AUs/ATs is a board for alternate universes and alternate timelines. For example, if you wanted to do an RP where you could be any (or more than one) character, this is where you'd do it. These RPs can be canon-compliant or completely off the wall. It's just meant to be a place for people to be silly or explore other characters. Can I RP smut here? If you're 18 or older, there is a NSFW board. Otherwise, no. In public boards, if you have to have smut, either fade to black or move that part onto the NSFW board or PM. What is PM? Private messaging. You can PM someone by clicking on your inbox, clicking compose message, and typing the user's name into the field provided for recepient. If you see the user on a thread and want to PM them from there, you can look on the side area under their avatar and find the "pm" button. That will open the same page "compose message" does, except now their name is already there. I have a different problem! Then go ahead and create a thread in this board ("Help," not "FAQ") with your question. Check to see if it's been answered before, first, though! |
