Welcome To Rune Tipz With Over 20 Served! =D Here Are A Bunch Of Rules, Read If You Insist, because we are very strict about Rule Breakers. [::. 1. The Number one rule of Runescape Tipz is respect! Anyone being disrespectful will be disciplined, up to and including IP banning from the site. We demand people treat each other respectfully while using these forums. We strive to keep this a friendly environment and expect the same from our members. 2. If you disagree with our rules, we are sorry, BUT they are here for a reason and will NOT change just because you do not agree. DO NOT make posts or pm us asking us to change them, The answer will ALWAYS be NO. If you would like to discuss how a staff member handles one of these rules, please contact a Leader. You are agreeing to follow our rules when you register an account on our forums so please read through them so you understand them. Do not make a post complaining about our rules or saying you are quitting our forums because of them as they will only lead to more problems and possibly get your account banned. 2a. If you receive a discipline PM and you do not agree with it, please PM any Admin on the forum and we will investigate it and try to work with you. 3. Anyone using ANY form of flaming, swearing, cursing, badmouthing, or profanity will be disciplined. This rule includes acronyms, replacing profanity with stars (i.e., ****), or anything to that effect. We are a forum for RuneScape and have young people using these boards. Failure to follow this rule will result in disciplinary action. 4. Please do not ask to be a mod, do not ask what we look for in moderators or any questions pertaining to becoming a mod. Anyone PMing a staff member or posting about being a mod will have to see his chances of becoming one seriously diminished. 4a. Please do not ask to be a member of the Staff or Council groups. This group is by invitation only, asking to be a part of it is grounds to have your chances of being staffed highly diminished. 5. Multiple Runescape Tipz forum accounts are not allowed. You may only have one Rune Tipz forum account per person and one person per forum account. If you have family members that also use Skillerz please make sure you note that in a PM to a leader. 6. Display names and log in names cannot contain spaces or special characters and must be 4 or more characters long. You may use an underscore _ to replace a space in the name only and not at the beginning or end of your name. Those are the only characters other than letters or numbers that may be used. Names should also be appropriate to the younger members of our forums. 7. Links in homepage field of your profile must not be to any other Runescape helpsite, or any other site that contains cheats or adult images. You cannot put inappropriate or flaming content in your profile. 8. National and international laws apply to the internet. Do not post here encouraging people to do anything illegal (such as pirating software). 9. If you receive an official warning for breaking the rules on the forum and are a member of any of the Staff+ Forum Usergroups (i.e. Staff, Council, Allied Leader, etc.), you will be removed and no longer be allowed access to these areas. Trouble makers will not be privileged enough to be a part of the extra content on the forum. This applies to all Runescape Tipz members however. Warning System - 2 Warnings will put you on post mod. 3 Warnings will equal a 3 day ban from the site and post mod. 4 Warnings will be a week ban and most mod. 5 Warnings total is a permanent ban from the site, so if someone gets a week ban and comes back and gets a single warning they are gone for good. Warnings will periodically be removed if you demonstrate good behavior for an extended period of time. Warnings usually decay away automatically after a few weeks. Post moderation is in effect for 2 or more official warnings. If you receive two official warnings, you will be put on post moderation. This means that a staff+ member must APPROVE your topic(s) or replies before they are visible for other users to see. This will help with troublesome users so we can catch bad posts before they are made. 2 official warnings = 15 day post moderation 3 official warnings = 20 day post moderation 4 official warnings = Indefinite post moderation VERY SERIOUS OFFENCES Please remember that violating these rules might get you banned from Runescape Tipz! 10. Posting of cheats, macros, hacks, scams, password/pin scams, asking for these things, asking for accounts, PINs, passwords, or discussions about the purchase or loan of RuneScape accounts is strictly forbidden. The aforementioned items break RuneScape rules and are not allowed here. Your account on RuneScape and on Rune Tipz may be BANNED for violation of this rule. All RuneScape rules apply to Runescape Tipz as well. Please keep in mind that mentioning The link to Runescape Tipz forums in RuneScape is against Jagex rules and you may be banned or muted for it. We would hate to see you get in trouble in game for talking about us so please do not do it. 10a. Discussions regarding all clients not endorsed by Runescape Tipz are not allowed. Use of such clients is not reccommended as we are unable to assure the security of those programs. 11. Posting or asking for viruses or other malicious programs in discussions, links, and images is strictly forbidden. 12. No posting any kind of material, graphic or otherwise, that may be found inappropriate or obscene to the Rune Tipz range. 13. You are not allowed to discuss staff+ issues and posts in the staff forums with a former staff member. Posts in the staff+ forums are confidential and if a staff or former staff member discusses these types of things with you, and you are not staff or higher, you are required to notify a Leader immediately. They will be disciplined up to and including a ban for discussing things garnered from staff members that are supposed to be confidential. We do not discuss why people are demoded with the community or other issues needed to run this site. We take the leaking of confidential information by staff and former staff very seriously. 14. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden here and throughout the entire internet and world in which we live. Copying somebody else's guide, signature, or other work, whether from another site, this site, or from another member, and claiming it as your own work may result in an official warning if not a ban from the site. Additionally, never use another member's signature, avatar, or under banner without first asking him and receiving his permission to use it. 15. Multi-Clanning is Not allowed [CryofTheWolf], we are not a Wilderness clan so we do not need to worry about leaks of PK or War info. Multi-clanning is when one PERSON, not account(s), is in two or more clans at the same time. **Staff , Council, and Leaders must not Multi-Clan, or they will be de-modded. POSTING 16. Search first! - With the exception of the market place forums, Do not post a new topic without first using the search feature! Searching for a topic and posting a reply is preferred over starting a new thread when possible. This keeps discussions about the same subject together and makes it easier for everyone to find them. Please follow the market place rules for posting in those boards. 17. Post in the correct board. Descriptions of all the boards can be found on the main index page to the forum. We ask you to read all announcements and stickies at the top of each forum before posting in that forum. These announcements and stickies help you to get your post into right forum or topic, allowing you to get the best possible response. If you post in the incorrect board, there is always a chance that your post will go unnoticed by the members who would otherwise be interested in it, which would be a shame. 18. Do not post asking us to create new forums - we will decide when and if we need a new forum. We will almost never accept requests for new forums. However, if you feel that a new forum would be useful, feel free to post it in suggestions and we'll take a look at it. 19. NO POSTS IN UPPERCASE CHARACTERS! If you start typing and notice you are typing in all capitals, press that caps lock button to the left on your keyboard. Typing in all caps is considered shouting and is not a respectful way of communicating. In addition to this, posts entirely in large sized font are deemed excessive and also fall under this rule. 20.Do not spam. Construct posts with substance in them as spam posts will be removed. Spam includes: a) One word responses (e.g., Cool, Huh?, Awesome, etc.) or posts consisting of only smilies, unless they are appropriate responses to the post. We would prefer you use more than one word normally. Posting the same or similar post (or topic) repeatedly on same or different boards. c) Bumping topics, especially if you simply put the word "Bump". d) Posts not related to the topic at hand. Remember that Spam is Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages 21. Please do not accuse members of cheating in RuneScape or breaking the Runescape rules. If you beleive someone is breaking a rule, please send a PM to a Leader immediatley. 22. No "rate my stats" or "rate my bank pictures" topics are allowed. These types of posts will be locked. You can post your stats and ask for help as this is not asking for someone to rate them. These types of post are often subjective and turn into flame wars which are not allowed. Additionally, posting bank pictures makes you a target for hackers. 22. Do not post topics or make posts about your post count. Bragging about post count just clogs up the forums and they are pointless. Doing so will result in discipline and reduction of post counts. 23. No controversial topics, including posts or chat discussions about religion or political issues are allowed. However, religious and political statements are permitted in signatures, provided they do not disrespect other religions or other political positions. 24. No backseat moderating. Do not reply to rule breakers telling them that they are breaking the rules! This includes posts like "This is spam!" or "wrong board." If you see a rule breaker, click the REPORT link and then give a description as to what rule is being broken. Do NOT post that you have reported their post or that you think their post is in violation of the rules, or you will consequently be held in violation of the rules yourself. 25. Begging is not allowed on these forums. Even if you were hacked, which is regrettable, begging is still not allowed. 26. No advertising is permitted. No original subjects are to be started advertising ANY web sites (RuneScape related or not, and Including all Clans.). For instance, "I created a new forum come check it out" would not be allowed. We do not allow any advertising on this forum. This includes our chat room and all signatures and avatars. 27. Links are not allowed. Links of any kind are not permitted unless the link is the forum or Jagex/Runescape official site. Links are allowed in the homepage area of your profile and you are allowed to link to your profile for people to see your info. You may also place URL's in other areas of your profile, but they will not be linked. Runescape Tipz does not allow advertising other Runescape clans. You may not place a link to other RuneScape clans anywhere on the forum, including the homepage portion of your profile. Any link that goes to a site with RuneScape cheats, keyloggers, hacks or inappropriate material will result in an immediate and permanent ban! Certain sites' links are NOT ALLOWED anywhere, even the humor forums due to questionable content. These include: Ebaumsworld Newgrounds kontraband Albino Blacksheep Fat-pie Nearlygood Funnyjunk Metacafe Megaupload Other sites featuring people in various stages of undress or that would be considered inappropriate for small children. IMAGE SIZE LIMITS 29. Due to the fact that many people use dialup, we have to restrict the size of images in posts. This is also to help the overall performance of the site and to reduce bandwidth. You are limited to 500kb per thread. Any thread that has over 100kb in images must have the following in the topic description - "WARNING - Large Images Inside!" This will alert dial up users of the fact that there is over 100kb in images in the thread. Any thread page with an image total more than 500kb will be removed unless pre-approved by staff. Any thread with more than 100k which does not contain the warning as stated above could also be removed! Also, any post in which the images could have been made smaller to preserve bandwidth and improve performance could also be removed, no matter what the size is if we deem it appropriate. Bandwidth costs money and we do not care if it is ours or someone else's. We will do whatever it takes to preserve bandwidth. If you need an exemption of this 500kb limit for special purposes, please PM an administrator and we shall work with you on the post and approve the exemption. Exemptions will not be granted for every wilderness kill, etc., however. 29. Never use another member's signature, avatar, or under banner without first asking him and receiving his permission to use it. Failing to do is just like stealing from this person and will not be tolerated. Except if it is a "Follower of..." type Underbanner 30. All kinds of images (including signatures and avatars) may not be bought or sold for RuneScape gold or items. Sales must be done for free or for some sort of arranged payment in real life. We are not responsible for your money when buying or selling signatures or images. 31. All posts on the Staff Boards are private. If you ask for or about Staff TopicsPosts in the Staff Boards you will receive a discipline. This information is private and for Staff only. IRC RULES 32. All Runescape Tipz rules that are applicable to chatroom apply in the chatroom and clients like MSN, AIM, etc. 33. Use of macros and scripts in chatroom is not allowed. They will often cause spam and hinder chatroom performance. The only one allowed is Mighty_Bot. 34. PM a staff member to get non-Runetipz links approved. The staff member must be present or active in the room when you post the link. 35. Do not argue with staff. If they ask you to stop, then stop. If you do not agree with what a staff member is doing, please take screenshots and PM them to a leader. 36. Do not use trick humor. 37. Only official clan members are allowed to talk and participate in the chatroom, OTHERS would be Un-Voiced. 38. Respect other users. 39. All clan events should only be discussed with permission from a mod. 40. You get three silencings before being banned temporarily or permanently. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, then 15 minutes. This may be different for more severe cases. Do NOT rejoin the chat to avoid a devoicing. You will be banned. 41. Do not abuse the commands and features. Smiley spam is not allowed. 42. Do not just pm a member of staff: you must ask to pm them first to see if they are not busy. However. many staff have a policy about PMs, some do not require you to ask, however its better to ask first. 43. If a member is Banned, Devoiced, or a Clan Friend you can not repost messages for them on the IRC. 44. You Can't Ask for other members to be "Clan Friend, Staffed, Unbanned, Revoiced, etc." Please understand that Runescape Tipz Staff are extremely intelligent and know what to do. 45. Do not comment on potential disciplines, revocations, or disciplines from any time. Respect their Privacy 46. Do not make Fake Staff IRC Logs or Chat Messages 47. If a Staff member divulges private information then you can not repeat it to anyone, except if asked by a Leader. .::] Thank-you
