Well, about this chapter, I tried to remember everything but I kinda failed. The problem is everything having different names so it's difficult to get it all. I understood how the Elves were to separate and kinda who went where, and I remember some of the names like the Quenya, the Noldor, the Teleri, but I'm mostly confused about all this x)

Also I saw Galadriel's name and no wonder she's so powerful, she comes very early in the Elves' ancestry...

I had some trouble with this chapter too. It took me the longest time to finish because everything was going alright until the last couple of pages, then I had to keep putting it down to take extra notes and reread a lot of it. With all the new names, I think I'll definitely be referencing my notes again as I read on.

Despite all of that though, I still enjoyed this chapter. I'm starting to really like Melkor... I know, so bad! I like him in a he's a good antagonist sort of way though. I've been spending a lot of time looking at all the hilarious fanart of him on Tumblr and it's making anything I read about him totally great.

My (lengthy) notes for this chapter:

This chapter was really exhausting to read because of all the different kinds of elves Q_Q (also I'm kinda really behind because of my exams so now I tried to catch up and that was really exhausting to read, kinda :D)

But if you think your notes are lengthy, Ashley, you should see mine :'D I'm not gonna share them though because yours sum everything up pretty well anyways :)

ALSO MAYBE HELPFUL (I HOPE) since i was confused where the heck beleriand actually was and the names from my lotr copy and the silmarillions differ for some reason (the ered luin are nOT CALLED THAT IN MY LOTR WHY IS THAT) and i was really confused i did some googling since i was sure I was not the only one really confused but here is the probably best little thing i found!

Hello again everyone!

I'm sorry for disappearing for such a long time. I had exams, and then I got a new computer so I had to transfer a lot of data and set up my accounts again. My notes are pretty brief, but I can upload them once I've rewritten them into my new notebook (I've been waiting ages for it to arrive - it's the limited edition Hobbit moleskine ^_^)

This chapter is pretty lengthy and confusing at first read, but I've made a couple charts that could hopefully help...it's one of my favourite chapters because it talks about the sundering of the elves. I'm planning to teach a part of this in my history club at school soon XD
