Newbie Posts: 10 Group: Members Member #669 Joined: September 11, 2009	Plotting and Sneaking After coming up with the plan, we convinced Jacob to go along with this. Now all we have to do is kidnap our own daughter. Edward sneaked up behind her and blind folded her. She screamed and nearly jumped a foot. "Nessie, it's us!" I said, trying to soothe her, This was going according to plan. Everyone else knew what was going on so nobody came running in here, worried. "I told you that you shouldn't have sneaked up behind her like that! Especially when you're trying to convince her to do something!" Edward mumbled, "Sorry." He didn't like being the bad guy, but he definitely didn't want to be the one to yell at me. I didn't exactly want to do that either. She wondered aloud, "What are you trying to convince me to do?" I said, "Alice wants your thoughts, not your words so she'd like it if you could show her what you're feeling. Would you mind helping her understand?" "No, not at all," she whispered. "She also want to try an experiment. She wants to see if your sight affects your gift," Edward interjected. "That's why I blindfolded you." We led her into the living room where everyone was waiting to see what happens. We sat her down on the couch and said, "Alice is right in front of you sweetheart." Jacob was kneeling there, torn between wanting to know and what was ethical. She reached her hand out and touched Jake. He gasped quietly and watched her tears trickle down her face. She finally withdrew her hand and asked, "You won't tell Jacob, will you Alice?" and Alice now sat where Jacob had a few seconds before. "No honey, of course not. Good news, your sight doesn't effect it at all so you can take off the blindfold." She took off the blind fold to just see Edward, Alice and I. The others had scattered a few seconds after Jacob had. She smiled slightly through her tearful eyes and said, "Did it help knowing my thoughts rather than my words?" Alice comforted her, "Yes darling, your tears are not for nothing. Thank you for helping me understand better." Renesme stood and said, do you guys mind if I take a nap, That shopping really took a lot out of me." "No, go right a head," I said, "We'll be here when you are up again." My thoughts were already straying to Jake. I wonder what he's thinking right now. When Renesme was up the stairs, Edward whispered to me, "Lets go find Jacob. I'm sure you are just as curious as I am to what this new development brings to his mind." He smiled and we ran out the back door. We found him on a rock somewhere between Forks and Tacoma. He acted as if he didn't hear our approach. His head was in his hands and I looked at Edward, hoping he could decipher his thoughts for me. He looked slightly worried. I was the one who broke the silence. "Jake? Are you okay?" sympathy dripping off of every word I said. He looked up and I saw conflicting emotions there. I could tell Edward had something to say to him, but he couldn't spit it out. "No I am not okay," Jacob said. "Why would I be okay? I have no frieking clue if I'm okay or not! Bella, that was your daughter in there, crying over me! You know how bad that makes me feel? Do you even comprehend that-" Edward cut him short. "I do. I understand every single emotion you feel in there. I understand that the whole time she has crying, you felt like you were in a battle between what's ethical and what you wanted, and I understand that you love her. You may be confused, but without looking, I know all of this stuff because that happened to me." His words rushed out of his mouth, almost slurring together. Jacob's mouth was gaping. My mouth was practically on the floor. I scrambled to remember how to pick up my jaw while Jacob was coming out of his trance-like state. Edward turned toward me and said, "Bella, you know how you used to talk in your sleep?" I hesitated and said, "Yes..." I couldn't see where he was going with this. "Well, it was pure fate that when I first watched you sleep, you were dreaming about me. When I heard you speak my name, I was tossed and submerged in emotions and thought, and I couldn't even form a cohesive thought in my mind. I both hated myself and I felt a jittery high. I couldn't believe it." By the time he finished his speech, my mouth was hanging again. Jacob's was pretty much the same. We both couldn't believe what we were hearing. he spoke again, "One thing I did know was that I loved you, Bella, and it changed me. Vampires don't change often. When we do, it's a permanent change that nothing could stop." Jacob finally put words together and asked, "How does that apply to me?" "Because I know that feeling inside and out and you are never going to change your mind about Renesme. You love her and you can't live without her. It's almost as strong as the hold Bella has on me. It's almost like I've been glued to her. I need her and I can't live without her." I said, "I'll let you two chat. Uh, I'll be back at the house." "Okay," they both said. Edward kissed me goodbye and I ran back to the house, wanting to drill Edward's words out of my head. I couldn't believe what I heard. Edward and Jacob finally came home laughing after a few hours. "Finally," I teased, "I thought for a second there that vultures picked you up. Renesme was worried about you, Edward." "Oh, she's up then?" Jake asked. "Yeah, she's in the study right now," I replied. He sauntered up the stairs without another word. I looked at Edward quizically. "I'll explain it to you later," he promised. I sorta eavesdropped on Jake and Nessie until I couldn't hear them anymore. I wondered why and I slid up the stairs to find that they weren't talking anymore. I let Edward hear my wonder about why they weren't talking anymore. I wonderd if they were reading in the study now. He came up behind me and whispered we should go investigate. When we cracked the door to the study, we saw them kissing. Eww. I really didn't want to watch my daughter kissing my best friend so I carefully closed the door and we silently tripped down the stairs. We told Alice, "Mission Accomplished." And I wondered If this was right. The Volturi were coming in 1 day.
