November 1st

Philadelphia 76ers 112:98 Milwaukee Bucks

Nice solid win in the first game of the season against one of the youngest teams in the league which will certainly have a great future. Also to mention the great impact of the new veteran Brent Barry who scored 27 points, 6 Assists and 3 Rebounds.

November 2nd

Detroit Pistons 116:80 Philadelphia 76ers

After a solid win the 76ers had to accept defeat against one of the contenders for the title. Detroit's win was never jeopardized but the sixers are not easily impressed and will come back with strong performances.

November 4th

Philadelphia 76ers 113:109 Charlotte Bobcats

The first really close game of the season was against the Bobcats with the luckier end for the sixers. A strong defensive and offensive performance of Emeka Okafor held Samuel Dalembert down to only 5 Rebounds but the other big man Reggie Evans stand in for him with strong 22 Points and 15 Rebounds.

November 5th

Indiana Pacers 92:95 Philadelphia 76ers

Another close win, this time against the Pacers. Because Willie Green showed us in the first games that he's not the pass-first point guard the sixers want the coach decided to put him on the bench and let Louis Williams start which was definitely the right decision. Williams dumped 27 points, 5 Rebounds and 6 Assists.

Second defeat of the season and again against a team where it's not a shame to lose.

Philadelphia 76ers 88:100 Los Angeles Lakers

Second defeat in a row, this time against the Lakers. Again a strong defensive performance by Reggie Evans with 16 Rebound but due to a poor performance by the bench players the Sixers lost the game pretty clear.

November 15th

Philadelphia 76ers 122:102 Toronto Raptors

A strong performance by both guards Kyle Korver, who scored 36 points and made 7 of 12 from the Three-Point Line, and Louis Williams, who brought up 9 Assists, was certainly the reason for this solid win against the Raptors.

December 12th

Philadelphia 76ers 101:82 Minnesota Timberwolves

The rumors were correct! Only a short time before the game the trade which sends Udonis Haslem and Jason Smith to Charlotte for Joakim Noah and Jeff Foster was made official. Shortly after Jeff Foster was sent to Cleveland for a young and talented big man named Cedric Simmons and once more an expiring contract in Ira Newble. But now something about the game: Joakim Noah made in his first game for the sixers double figures in rebounds and points. The facts that the wolves only made .375 percent of their field goals and made only 82 points showed the strong defensive effort of the sixers.

December 16th

Philadelphia 76ers 97:101 Miami Heat

After a defeat in their own hall the sixers are back in track due to a win in Toronto. Once more Thaddeus Young had a strong performance scoring 10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in only 10 minutes. Rumors say that head coach Maurice Cheeks considers to switch Thaddeus Young to the starting shooting guard position but as long as the sixers are on the right path and Brent Barry scoring solid numbers this will most likely not happen.
