Multi-DM Campaign The campaign utilizes several basic concepts: multi players and multi DMs. Each Player may try to run sessions as a DM, or to play using their Playable Character (PC) on any DM, upon agreement between players. The stories are continuous. Some DMs might have their own story arc(s), that might be or might not be interlinked with other DMs.
Campaign Theme: Space Opera and Exploration The campaign revolves around the exploration. One part of the exploration is the space and its many star systems, including but not limited to establishing new colonies, making new contacts, preparing the logistics for massive travels, investigating cases that inhibit colonization, defending civilized worlds from Swarm or other threats, or colony building of a star system.
Another part of the exploration is the time, in the form of helping researchers and investigators to explore ancient ruins, obtaining clues regarding the Gap, unearth lost cities and civilizations, or decoding hidden obscure puzzle of myths.
All the while surviving day by day as a normal people: a tiny spark, a diminutive particle, who try to survive the multiverse.
Campaign Description Vanguards of Scintilla (VANILLA) is an [Organized Campaign] using Starfinder rules and settings. Players can run session as DM or play at session as PC (or NPC, with DM's permission).
Major Plot: Swarm The major plot of the campaign would be a brooding threat of a certain Swarm threat, which will be revealed the name on the 2nd chapter. The 1st chapter there would be only signs of intrusions, scouts, or similar threats, while the last chapter will be the final battle with the Mother-Hive.
DMs may focus on other aspect as well, such as world building, and just incorporating the Swarm as background (i.e. to supply logistics), or even exploring ancient ruins or investigating arcane mysteries (i.e. to provide leverage or information gathering against the swarm).
