Vivien is auctioned off to lead the dance at a huge Red Cross Benefit at the Rockland State Hospital in Orangeburg, NY, in July of 1940. Mr. JP McEvoy was the lucky man (he's pictured to the left of Vivien in the black coat). Larry stands next to Mrs. Maxwell Anderson (his lucky dance partner?).

Actors Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh arrive in New York aboard the ocean liner Mauritania, Dec. 6, 1951. The two will star at the Ziegfeld Theater in Shaw's "Caesar and Cleopatra," and Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra" on alternate nights for a 16-week run.
