Short Background - Player's Knowledge Beware As far as Gracia can remember, she was just a regular girl living in a small village at Hvaast Kingdom. Her father was a farmer and breeder, while her mother was a teacher - also what they called as 'local athlete'. They lived mostly in comfort and peace, with the young Gracia aimed to become just like her father since she liked to deal with animals in their farm. However since they lived close to the wilderness, occasional skirmish with the Orcs happened; and while the Hvaast military always took care of them, Gracia along with the youths in her village were taught how to defend themselves just to be safe. Gracia thought she would live her life like that, until the end. However, one big incident changed her life forever. A Civil War broke out in the Capital, and soon all of Hvaast was engulfed in fear and uncertainty. As a young girl, Gracia thought that the military would take care of them, just like they always did with the Orcs. But, even with military involvement, the Civil War did not show any signs of slowing down or to be over soon; due to their split in concentration for having to deal with the Rebels and the Orcs that sensed the opportunity to strike the Kingdom. The battle with the Rebels eventually reached Gracia's village, and it was there when she lost her innocence. Her father, who was helping the military, was captured and killed; her mother was killed during the skirmish with the Orcs just outside their village. Young Gracia was broken, anger filling up her heart and body. Ignoring the advice from her close friends, Gracia led a small militia to stand up and fight the Rebels. With the eventual help and reinforcement from the military, the small band of people's militia miraculously - albeit barely - managed to defeat the Rebels and the Orcs, with Gracia had a hand in killing some of the important figures among the rank. Sensing her potential and bravery, then Colonel Charles Liam Dersand personally invited Gracia to join the military under his command, so she can use her skills to help more people and the kingdom in general. Gracia, who had no one else left, accepted the invitation. She also found a new resolve for herself, protect the other as best as she can, and fight so that people won't have to die a meaningless death. Few years after that, Gracia rose through the rank and managed to achieve the Major rank by the time the Civil War was over. The Civil War and the battles with the Orcs, had left Gracia a changed person. The once sweet and caring girl, now had become a fully-fledged soldier. Physically, she damaged her left eye in one of the battles that she fought in - enough to render it rather useless and faced the possibility of early discharge - but that proved to be no stumbling block for her. Mentally, happy that she managed to help the country and the people, she felt numb inside due to all the killings that she committed, especially against the Rebels. She wanted to protect the kingdom, but not like this, not by killing people which was - despite their conflict and difference - her fellow countrymen. When she was in such state, Charles Liam Dersand - now a Major General, offered her another invitation; to join the Hvaast Special Forces - to protect and provide their strength for the so-called Voyage Order Campaign. The Major General convinced her that the journey would do good for the kingdom, and therefore the people in it. What they will learn along the journey, might be useful and potentially preventing a similar civil war to happen to Hvaast. He also indicated that this was the chance for Gracia - to find the redemption that she's been looking for, to find a new resolve for her life. Gracia couldn't say no, not like she won't either, and so her journey with VOC begins...
