As I type this out to you all know I am idling at the GE standing proud with an Elysian Spirit Shield in my ranger boots amongst many other scapers all curious as to the origination of my bank worth. Some suggest Merching, others believe PvM and strangers accuse me of Staking/RWT/PvP.

Although the argument can certainly be made that my success has been largely due to merching... My techniques to grow in wealth ecompass many of the aforementioned methods. I don't consider Staking and PvP to be viable sources of income due to how subjective something of a 3rd, unpredictable nature can change as quick as the weather; however the same logic can also be applied to merching. Merching will always follow a pattern of supply versus demand, however not always the pattern we desire; never the less it does follow some sort of trait. Analyzing data and hype will allow you to process a more calculated assesment of how viable an item is to merch.

Cannonballs, typically a terrible item to merch... What overrides a bad item to merch is the timing of the item in particular, due to Cerberus and Abyssal Sire being released there will be a huge demand in cannonballs with a similar income of said item to the community. Social Media such as reddit may cause the community at times to see things more dellusionally, more so with people looking to make money from something like the newly released bosses. Dwarf cannons have no alternative when it comes to power slaying, it will always be faster to cannon those tasks are cannonball and that is where our niche in the market lies.

Cannonball Price

As we see here, the Cannonballs are coming back off a negative drop in price; due to people who initally invested dumping their stock. It's easy to see here they made a huge loss on the item and this is due to a bad timing of a bad item. You think of the future events and you will always have a viable plan of action for the future, if jagex announce an update to saradomin sword's in the future in a livestream they will initially raise in price as people attempt to make a "Quick flip" on the item; however soon after they will drop in price and begin to raise again as the update draws in...A second coming if you will.

You must foresee how incoming changes on a monthly by monthly basis will affect the economy, namely how it will affect supply and demand. It is wonderful to get it right, but in the grand scheme of it all, you must supplement this tactic with your slayer, skilling or PvMing to make the best money available to you.

Think of every crucial update coming into the game, when they will arrive; how they will affect the game and ask yourself are you too late but more importantly are you too early? There is little point investing in sailing supplies when the skill doesn't arrive for 6 more months.

The little things that you do every single day, that you choose to do, could be the little bit of better forms. All those little things, will adds up to be failure or success. You gotta create each one, every single day.
