Fearsome Fleet Leader :D
Here goes (meant to be read aloud):

Frozen Hope?

Huddled round a fire in the days of old,
Hiding from the ire of the burning cold.
Under the stars and the grey-white moon,
Hope from afar that will get here soon.

A fortress of ice that gleams in the day,
With beauty to entice down a dangerous way.
"Onward, you hounds! Pick up the pace!"
Drowns out the sounds of the maddening race.

Shallowing breath, sight fading to black,
Shadows of death clawing at his back.
A powerless friend gazes on in fear,
As the desperate end seems to draw so near.

A last long climb to the sheltered cave,
No thought of the time, there's a life to save.
Greeted with a cheer as he scales the slope,
"The doctor is here, there is still hope."

How's that for four hours work? B)

edit- minor changes to the middle two verses.

edit2 - thought of a title.

I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Where we gonna go from here?
I don't like it very much.
I didn't really fit it into the topic very well.
But you need at least two in order to have a competition.
:)

(sorry about that post before, guess i never read the disclaimer in nauruto91's post. ... >.< )

Obloquies

I watch the ice crystals gravitate gracefully as I wonder,
About the black lie that I am hiding from you.
For this I’ll forever hide away in the arbor.
I don’t think you’ll understand; whatever shall I do?

Our playful snow fights are no longer de facto fun.
I’ve been trying to do this for far, far too long;
Never did I think it’d be so hard to confess what I’ve done.
But I tell you… was that right or was that wrong?

I’ve confessed finally, after so many tries…
You’ve understood the smaller obloquies…
But now I see a passionate, heated fire in your eyes.
I can only watch as the love we once had slowly dies.

I’m sorry for the misery that you will have to stomach,
My life, without you will never be again be whole.
My soul in polluted, I’m afraid that I might go amok.
But your soul is pure white, white as phenol.

I wish I’d never done this, the holidays just will not be the same.
I know that I cannot change the past, and regrets will get me nowhere.
I will not ask for forgiveness, I’m just sorry and I’m so sick with shame.
Please don’t let anybody hurt you again and have to see that angry blaze flare.

Edit:
Whoa.
I just read Ben's.
I don't stand a chance XD

I tried to write something else but I can't.
